The Inman aligner is a revolutionary orthodontic treatment available at Church Road Dental, which straightens teeth quickly and painlessly. The Inman aligner is made up of two component parts, a coiled spring that sits at the back of the teeth and a fine metal bar that runs along the front of the teeth. The device is designed to treat problems that affect the front teeth and can produce results in a matter of weeks.
The Inman aligner generates gentle forces, which gradually push and pull the teeth into the correct position, to leave you with a straight and attractive looking smile.
What are the benefits?
- The forces generated by the two component parts of the aligner are very gentle, meaning minimal pain or discomfort.
- The aligner is removable, giving you more flexibility and enabling you to eat and drink whatever you want, and to clean your teeth thoroughly.
- The Inman aligner is significantly cheaper than many other orthodontic treatments.
- The promise of a short treatment time (most patients wear the device for a maximum of 16 weeks) is ideal.
- If your teeth have moved after other braces treatment then the Inman aligner is an excellent method to correct relapsed teeth and hold them in place.
How long does treatment take?
Treatment time varies according to the complexity of the individual case. Our stages of treatment segment will help you to understand how treatment develops:
Stage 1: Your Free Consultation
We welcome all patients to take advantage of a free consultation in which we will address your dental concerns and work to find the most suitable treatment option for you. This is free of charge.
Stage 2: Measurements
The Inman aligner is designed and manufactured according to measurements and images of the patient’s teeth and mouth. We will take photographs of your teeth and create a mould of your mouth.
Stage 3: Bespoke braces
The moulds, photographs and any other necessary information regarding your case is sent to a laboratory so that the aligner can be custom-made to fit your teeth.
Stage 4: Treatment begins
When the aligner has been returned to us, we will check the fit and your treatment will begin. We will ask you to come back periodically to check your progress. You must wear your aligner for at least 20 hours every day to ensure the aligner works properly.
Stage 5: Treatment is complete
When we are happy that your teeth have moved into the correct position and you are happy with the results, your treatment will be complete. Receive your complimentary whitening and any recontouring of the teeth.
Is the treatment painful?
As with all other braces, it may take you a while to get used to the Inman aligner. However, the initial discomfort will wear off quickly and you will not experience pain during the treatment as the force generated by the aligner is very gentle.
