Dental implants Manchester

Church Road Dental in Cheadle is one of the leading implant practices in Cheadle and Manchester. We have been placing implants for decades.
One common question that we get asked is, are dental implants available on the NHS. We are an independent practice and not part of the NHS. We do know that dental implants are not available on the NHS unless they are provided in hospitals for extenuating circumstances.

The price of dental implants can vary and in the UK can range from £900-over £3000.
At our practice  our starting cost for the dental implant is £1200 and we then have a charge for the crown.

We frequently also get asked whether dental implants hurt. Like any other dental procedure, we use local anaesthetic and throughout the procedure there is definitely no pain. There can be some tenderness after to procedure as with any healing process. Sedation can also be used in order to help with your experience.

We also get asked whether implants can be done in one day. Implant treatments can be done in a day with same day smiles all all on 4 implant treatments. This is our treatment page which covers it https://www.cheadlehulmedental.com/treatment/all-on-4-implants.html

We have also been asked recently whether dentures are better than implants. Implants are anchor types of devices which can help to stabilize dentures or can fix implants retained bridges into place so that they don’t move. Implants are better than dentures alone.

The number of implants needed can vary. A single missing tooth needs one implant however, multiple missing teeth can need multiple implants to close spaces. Lower implant supported dentures would need a minimum of 2 implants and upper implants supported dentures need a minimum of 4 implants. Generally speaking, implant supported full mouth bridges need a minimum of 4 implants to work, We try and use up to 6 implants to help to distribute the loading of the implants.

We often get asked, how long will implants last? The answer is that it can vary. As long as you are cleaning well, seeing the hygienist regularly and getting regular reviews, the implant should last in excess of 10 years. If you are a smoker, this can reduce the lifetime of implants.

We are based in Cheadle Hulme, but have regular payments attending from Manchester and throughout Cheshire to come and see us for their dental implant work.
