Different Forms of Restorative Dentistry
Restorative dentistry is a type of dentistry dedicated to restoring teeth that have been decayed or damaged. The dentist works with your existing tooth-structure to restore your teeth and prevent further damage.
Key points:
– A filling or crown will help protect teeth and prevent cavities.
– A dental implant will replace a single missing tooth; two or more missing teeth in a row require a dental bridge.
– Veneers are permanently fixed on teeth to cover stains and chips.
– Dentures are artificial teeth that function and look very much like natural teeth and can be removed. Dental implants can be used to support dentures, and help keep them stable so they don’t slip.
Consult if you need restorative dentistry from your dentist.
