Skin Boosters (Polynucleotides)

Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides are a sophisticated treatment for skin rejuvenation. They trigger skin resurfacing to combat common skin concerns, including signs of ageing, improving the appearance, elasticity and texture of your skin, leaving it glowing and rejuvenated.

What are Skin Boosters?

Skin Boosters are injectables that focus on providing deep hydration, whilst improving skin volume. Made up of hyaluronic acid, they are often considered a holistic treatment for anti-ageing, addressing multiple skin concerns that occur as a result of skin ageing and the effect of environmental stressors on your skin.

What are Polynucleotides?

Polynucleotides harness the power of biostimulating chains of nucleotides, which are the building blocks of the nucleic acid that forms part of our DNA.

Polynucleotides are injected deep into the dermis (the middle layer of skin). Once present, they kickstart cell renewal, triggering the creation of collagen and elastin and formulating rejuvenated and more resilient skin.

Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides – the benefits of treatment

  • Skin laxity – tighten sagging skin.
  • Hydrate – Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides deliver a deep dose of hydration for rough and sun-damaged skin.
  • Restore a dewy complexion – with the deep dose of hydration, the skin’s glow significantly improves.
  • Dark circles – revitalise the under-eye area/improve the appearance of fatigue and loss of volume under the eyes.
  • Scarring – Skin Boosters and Polynucleotides can resurface areas of skin affected by scarring.
  • Pigmentation – dark spots as a result of pigmentation, and hyperpigmentation (caused by acne), can be improved.
  • Skin redness – treatment can resurface skin tone, resurfacing areas of redness across the skin.

FAQ

Which is right for me – Skin Boosters vs Polynucleotides?

Whilst Skin Boosters are best-suited to addressing loss of volume and hydration at the same time, Polynucleotides are more effective at achieving firmer, resurfaced and even-toned skin. Polynucleotides can simultaneously create a visible improvement in skin texture and hydration.

Our resident Facial Aesthetics Clinical Lead, Dr Susan McBride, will be able to advise on which treatment is most suitable, taking into account the following:

  • The type of damage your skin is exhibiting (sun damage, pollution damage, loss of hydration and texture, general skin ageing, etc). Polynucleotides work particularly well on pigmentation and sun damage, stimulating the creation of new and healthy cells, and reducing melanogenesis (melanin overproduction).
  • Your age.
  • Your goals and expectations of treatment.

We recommend coming in for a consultation, during which Dr Susan can create a tailored plan. In some cases, a combination of injectable treatments may be recommended
