My name is Shi Karim and I am the Clinical Director at Cheadle Hulme Dental and Cosmetics. I qualified at the University of Liverpool in 2003 and since qualifying I have attended many post-graduate courses worldwide to futher my knowledge in the dental field. I have sat and passed post graduate royal college of surgeon exams and am continually studying, attending courses and pushing myself to further my knowledge in the dental field.
My area of expertise is cosmetic dentistry and have helped numerous patients achieve their dream of a new smile. This is using the most up to date and technologically advanced treatments available. My preference is using minimally invasive treatments such as orthodontics and aesthetic composites but I also have a wealth of experience in placing veneers, crowns and bridges and implants and this can be seen by the cases in my smile gallery. I am also renowned for my treatment of nervous patients and pride myself on good communication to help to relieve any dental phobias that they may have. This is why I have received the recognition of being dental phobia certified.
I am a full member of the British Academy of Cosmetic Dentists and am also a full member of the Association of Dental Implantology
In my spare time I am fanatical about playing and following sports. I visit the gym at 6:00 before work every morning. My belief is that a healthy body also leads to a healthy mind. I am also a very keen Aston Villa supporter (somebody has to be!)
I am married to Gemma who is our marketing manager. We have 2 young children who take up most of our weekends.
I am immensely passionate about dentistry and making sure that our dental practice is constantly thriving for the highest possible standards of dentistry and patient comfort. This passion is reflected in my enthusiasm which will rub off on even the most phobic of patients to ensure a pleasant and pain free experience.

Hi, I am Susan and I qualified from Queens University Belfast, in 2012 and undertook some hospital posts and further training in oral surgery before returning to full time general practice. Since graduating I have been passionate about furthering my knowledge and skills and undertaken a restorative dentistry course with Tipton Training. Alongside this I have also undertaken lots of composite courses to help patients who wish to make improvements to their smile. I am also an approved Invisalign, Clear Correct and Six Month Smiles provider helping patients who want to enhance their smile through short term orthodontic treatments. For some time I have also been undertaking facial aesthetics treatments to improve patients’ confidence. Out of work I enjoy cycling and cuddles with my dog Noodle the Labradoodle.
I have not stopped training since after graduating, and have undertaken courses in aesthetic and cosmetic dentistry such as clear braces, invisalign, and composite bonding.
In my spare time I enjoy spending time with family, running, and finishing off with plenty of food!
Richard Brookshaw BDS MMedSci (Oral Surgery) Dip Imp Dent RCS Ed, is a highly skilled dental implant surgeon, he has placed more than 5,000 implants.
He first qualified in 1996 from the University of Dundee. Then in 1999, he gained his Masters degree in Oral Surgery from the University of Sheffield, and further extended his clinical qualification in 2001 by completing an 18-month implant training programme. In 2009, he attained the highest honours award in the 1-year implant master program from the University of California Los Angeles/ gIDE program.
In 2009, he was one of the first five implant dentists in the country to be awarded the Diploma in Implant Dentistry from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh (Dip Imp Dent RCS Ed).
Richard is currently halfway through his PhD in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery having passed his mid degree viva.
Richard is both nationally and internationally respected as a lecturer and mentor in all aspects of Implant Dentistry. He lectures for Nobel Biocare nationally and internationally on a range of advanced implant techniques, and is a regular lecturer and contributor at the Nobel Biocare international conferences.
He is one of only a handful of implant surgeons nationwide who is able to carry out implant surgery in patients with extreme bone loss, using specially designed zygomatic implants.
Richard exclusively practices all aspects of implant dentistry, including hard and soft tissue augmentation, sinus grafting and same day implants.
In his spare time, when not enjoying time with his family, Richard enjoys most forms of sports, particularly golf, football, cricket and cycling.
Hi, I’m Hemal and I qualified in 2016 from King’s College London before completing my foundation training in Nottingham. Since graduating I have completed further examinations and undertaken courses in cosmetic dentistry which has enabled me to provide high-quality cosmetic and general dental work, in a calm and friendly manner.
I am committed to providing a range of care, which includes Invisalign, composite fillings and bonding alongside porcelain veneers. I also have a keen interest in providing bespoke ‘suction fit’ complete dentures and cosmetic dentures.
In my spare time, I enjoy playing football and cricket, travelling, eating anything with cheese and walking my dog Leo.
Shilpa qualified from the University of Birmingham in 2010 after which she successfully attained her Diploma of the membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at the Royal college of Surgeons of England. Since graduation she has worked in a range of hospitals across the West Midlands and North West receiving postgraduate training in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery. She has continued postgraduate training within community and dental hospitals across multiple specialties including Special care dentistry, Oral Surgery and Paediatric dentistry, going on to attain a Masters in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the University of Manchester.
Since 2013 she has contributed to the NHS working at Manchester Dental Hospital as a Restorative Speciality dentist and lecturer working with a focus to treat patients with complex needs and dental phobias under conscious sedation. She has vast experience both in providing and teaching Dental Sedation and was elected as a trustee to the Society of the Advancement of Anaesthesiology in Dentistry (SAAD) where she plays active involvement in current affairs regarding dental sedation for the wider profession. In 2013, she set up a mobile sedation service “Dental Sedation Solutions”for the private sector to improve patient access to conscious sedation. This service is now well established and has been resourced by many leading dental practices. Her commitment to helping patients overcome dental anxieties and phobias is evident through her holistic approach, calm and reassuring chair side manner, complimented by the range of advanced skills in her capacity.
Outside of work Dr Shah is a keen scuba diver. She has a passion for wildlife, travelling and photography.
Dr Nuha Zeiton graduated as a Dental Surgeon (BDS) from The University of Manchester. She has worked in both general dental practice and hospital based surgical dentistry since qualification in 2006.
Nuha has a special interest in oral surgery (MOS) and sedation (use of medicines to safely relax and calm patients for a dental procedure).
After her initial surgical training as a Junior Doctor at North Manchester General and Rochdale Hospitals, Nuha became a staff grade in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery (OMFS). She worked alongside leading OMFS consultants in head and neck trauma and cancer clinics while running her own oral surgery lists. She also mentored newly qualified dentists and doctors.
During this time, Nuha completed her MFDS qualification to become a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and the Diploma of Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties at The Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr Zeiton accepts referrals from dentists to assist with complex surgical extractions and to provide intravenous conscious sedation for the management of dental anxiety.
My name is Mandy and I am the Practice Manager here at Cheadle Hulme Dental & Cosmetic.
I have worked in the dental industry for over 23 years. I initially qualified as a dental nurse and then continued to do further development courses. I have gone from being a young apprentice dental nurse at an orthodontic practice who wouldn’t say boo to a goose to managing 2 successful private dental practices and now you can definitely hear me before you see me….normally laughing!
I really enjoyed being the first person you would see or talk to at the reception at Cheadle Hulme Dental & Cosmetics and helping the patients on their smile journey. I now lead our ever growing dental team as we moved into our new state of the art dental practice, Cheadle Hulme Dental & Cosmetics on Station Road in the heart of the Cheadle Hulme Community. I enjoy nurturing our team and helping them progress in their careers, supporting Dr Karim whilst he fulfils his dreams for the practice and also ensuring the patients are comfortable, relaxed and receiving the best care we can deliver.
In my spare time I enjoy socialising with family and friends, countryside walks with my husband and our dog, going to the gym and D.I.Y. much to the annoyance of my husband!

Hi, I'm Rachael and I am a qualified Dental Hygienist and Therapist. I love to provide oral health education to my patients and assist in maintaining healthy gums and a healthy smile. I particularly enjoy educating children on their dental health, and motivating all my patients while tailoring treatment to their individual needs. I am also able to undertake fillings as a therapist and continually want to develop my skills. In my free time I enjoy squash, trekking and swimming, and my goal is to swim across Lake Windermere. I graduated from Cardiff University in 2018 with a Diploma in Dental Hygiene (and a vast knowledge of rugby). Since qualifying I have worked in practices across London and Manchester.
Prior to my Hygiene days, I worked as a Dental Nurse whereby I found a great interest in oral health promotion. The experience in the role also allowed me to widen my dental knowledge on topics in other areas of Dentistry..
Working as a Hygienist allows me to play an important role in helping patients obtain and maintain optimal oral hygiene and provide essential preventative care. As well as oral health promotion I work to prevent but also treat and manage periodontal disease. I aim to provide the best level of care I can for all my patients through gentle and effective treatment.
In my spare time I read, enjoy travelling and also being active through various sports.
My name is Karen and I am the Clinical Lead Dental Nurse here at Cheadle Hulme Dental & Cosmetics. My role here is to ensure that we as a practice maintain the highest standards of patient care and that through our team of amazing nurses we can deliver the best possible experience for our patients. From the moment our patients enter the surgery we want them to feel completely at ease and confident that our surgeries and equipment are cleaned and maintained to the highest standard. I have a special interest in Bio security which is so important, especially post Covid so you can rest assured we are doing everything possible to keep our patients and staff safe.

My spare time is spent usually with my Horse “Treacle” we are both currently competing most weekends showjumping which is very exciting. I am also the proud owner of a dog and 2 cats who all keep me very busy indeed!

Hello, my name is Maddison and I am a Smile Advisor at Cheadle Hulme Dental. My role is to explain all aspects of treatments that new or existing patients may be interested in. This can include orthodontics, implants and teeth whitening. My role is also to help patients feel comfortable within the practice and as the first point of contact, this is very important. I can also discuss finance options and treatment plans with patients once they have seen one of our Dentists, to ensure they fully understand what has been suggested or recommended. My favourite part of my job is that I meet such lovely patients and continue to see them throughout their journey and I feel I can really help along the way. In my spare time I like to spend time with my family, my partner and my cockapoo puppy Alfie.

Over the years I have gained experience and knowledge within the dental field. Surgical work and high aesthetic cases are my favourite part of my job. I love being a part of a big smile transformation case, helping the lovely patients from start to finish. I am also a qualified Nursing Associate, I studied for my degree at the University of Salford. Although I enjoyed my time in General Nursing, but dental has always been my passion. Steven is our Dental Technician for our Same Day Smile treatments. With over 20 years in Dental Implant Dentistry, we are honoured to have him on our team. Steven gained a Diploma in Clinical Dental Technology from the University of Lancashire. The majority of his work is Dental Implant Bridges using the all on 4 technique and he also teaches in this field.
