Manchester Dentist provides Dental bridges to close gaps

Spaces that have been left due to extractions or congenitally missing teeth can cause a problem not only when you smile, but can also make chewing more difficult and in certain situations lead to tempro mandibular joint dysfunction. (TMJ disease)

There are many options to fill spaces such as dental implants and dentures. We find that for many our patients in Cheadle, Stockport and Manchester that dental bridges are a good option to close these gaps. Dental bridges are made of lava / Zirconia which is an all porcelain material or made of porcelain fused to metal.
Bridges use the existing teeth to provide support for an additional tooth or multiple teeth. The first visit will be your free consultation and an x ray will be taken to check that the existing teeth are strong enough and suitable. The second visit is where the teeth are prepared and an impression is taken and sent to our cosmetic dental laboratory in Manchester. The final visit is where the bridge is bonded on with our adhesive cement. The bridge will match the colour of the existing teeth and after a few hours you will be able to eat and smile confidently. This will provide a very natural looking replacement for the missing tooth/teeth.

The majority of bridges require removal of enamel from teeth but for front teeth we also provide maryland / adhesive bridges which are extremely minimal in the amount of tooth that we need to remove and are therefore not as damaging.
