The Relationship Between Bacteria and an Electric Toothbrush
While an electric toothbrush can help to stave off trips to the dentist, there are some inherent risks if the tip is not replaced. What role does bacteria play when deciding that a replacement is in order?
– Bacteria due to a recently filled cavity could also warrant a replacement.
– Replace the head if you have recently been sick.
– Sharing the brush with others can increase the chances of developing issues with the teeth and gums, so replace the toothbrush head and don’t share it.
In general, you should replace the head every three months.
